1. Introduction

Why this policy exists

TechPeople A/S cares about the protection of your privacy. Our Personal Data Privacy Policy defines how we, as a data controller, handles the personal information of our website-users in compliance with applicable laws and regulations e.g. the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy is applicable in situations where TechPeople A/S (hereafter called “TechPeople”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”) handles personal information collected from our websites.

What is personal information?

Personal information (also referred to as personal data) is any information that can be used, directly or indirectly, to identify you as a natural person. Information regarding your personal characteristics is also referred to as sensitive personal information.

Categories of personal information collected

The personal information you provide to us is data that you actively provide by filling in different types of forms. When ordering products and services from us, signing up for our newsletters, events or seminars, looking for and requesting vacant positions or submitting unsolicited application, we may ask you to fill in forms where you provide us with your personal information.

We also use cookies to collect information about how our visitors navigate and use our sites. Note: you can cancel your subscription at any time by following the instructions at the bottom of each mail. If you have enabled cookies in your browser, your cookie information can be combined with data you’ve provided on our site to improve our customer communication.

 

Recipients of the personal information

We may disclose your personal information to all companies in our group (i.e. subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and all its subsidiaries) if it is necessary for the purposes stated in this privacy policy.

We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Exceptions to this are trusted third parties that help us run our sites, conduct our business and/or process your requests, and only if these parties agree to keep the information confidential and not use it for purposes other than agreed upon. We may also disclose your personal information in the rare cases where we find it necessary to comply with statutory requirements, maintain the sitespolicies or protect our own or others’ rights, property, or security. Non-personally identifiable information gathered from the website about visitors may, however, be provided to third parties for marketing, advertising or other use.

In some cases, we have agreements with third party service providers who help us get a better view of the site visitors. These service providers are not allowed to use the information they collect on our behalf for anything other than helping us operate and improve our business.

If your personal data is to be disclosed to any other recipients than stated in this Personal Data Privacy Policy, we will inform you of this disclosure at the time of collecting your personal information and obtaining your consent.

How long do we keep your personal information?

We will only save your personal information for as long as it’s relevant for the purpose for which it was originally collected. Sometimes, however, we need to retain it to comply with international or local laws/regulations, e.g. if you have made a request involving an economic transaction we will retain your information relevant in connection with this transaction for five years due to financial regulations.

Your personal rights

As a natural person, you have the right to:

  • Be notified within 72 hours of us first having become aware of a data breach implicating your personal information.
  • Get a report with information on what personal information we have about you, including the right to have any incorrect information corrected.
  • Have the personal information we have about you deleted.
  • Get your personal information delivered in an electronical format enabling you to port it to other systems.
  • submit a complaint about the processing of your personal data to the national supervisory authority.

Any of the above personal rights requests must be delivered in writing (e-mail accepted) and we need to verify your identity before we can execute any of the above. We aim to comply with your request within reasonable time from receiving it.

International transfers

Information collected when visiting our website can be stored, processed, and transferred between all countries in which we operate and used in accordance with this Data Privacy Policy. However, we will not transfer the personal data you provide to countries outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, without explicitly informing you in advance.

Links to third parties

We may, at our discretion, publish, link to, or offer third-party products on our website. These third- party websites have their own, independent privacy rules. We therefore take no responsibility for the content and activities of these linked sites. However, as we want to protect the privacy of our users, we welcome comments regarding these websites.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

TechPeople A/S reserves the right to update or change this data privacy policy at any time and you should visit this site regularly to obtain the latest version.
